Just for fun

Personal work created just for fun

Lipstick, unmasked: We always joked during the pandemic about how makeup would get all over my masks. I couldn’t kick the habit of wearing lipstick even though 9/10 it was going to be covered up. I kept a drawer full of my masks and when I looked through, each one brought back memories of events (good and bad) in the smears of pink and red. Taryn Simon is one of my favourite photographers, so I took inpsiration and documented my pandemic experience of moving to New York City, in March 2020, by photographing and categorizing the masks I wore.

Brasswick Music Festival Advertisement: I play clarinet in LTrain Brass Band, a nonprofit community of over 100 musicians. I created a set of posters, swag and social media assets for their end of summer celebration. A mixture of the Bushwick garden, the festival has roots in, an city landscape and the glorious brass instruments.

Inspired by music through the ages, I made this fun poster by incorporating the transition of gramaphone to the vinyl record through to our iphones.

Pussy riot meets Beyonce. I created a hand beaded Martin Margiela inspired mask, to celebrate 100 years of the Women’s Institute in Britain. A combination of the rebellion and home crafts that the WI has come to symbolise across the UK.
